We had a lovely stay, only there one night but was made very welcome and they went out of there way to make sure our room was ready early after I had phoned to say we would be arriving about 5 hours earlier than I said when made booking, we did have to leave unexpectantly early so did not try breakfast but the breakfast room looked lovely. We both enjoyed our stay with two very nice, friendly hosts. One couldn't get much closer to the foreshore which made it very convenient and suited our needs. On the downside, as one might expect, the parking in Scarborough is of a premium and, at the time we arrived, we were fortunate to find a spot five minutes away, but that's no fault of the hotel's, it's the nature of the beast. The attic room itself was on the small side but very clean. Read less

The service and cleanliness, as well as the breakfast, which was of ample size, well cooked, and served hot. Also the location suited us.
Dislikes:
Being an attic room, the window was very small and single-glazed, which wouldn't normally have been a problem had the seagulls not been fighting for breeding rights. It was quite noisey even at night.

It was quiet, very clean and newly decorated. Breakfast was good. Very close to the sea front (less than two minutes walk).
Dislikes:

I always judge a hotel by how clean it is, and this was was immaculate, very friendly owners who made sure you were happy with everything. Breakfast was well cooked and plentyfull.
Dislikes:
if they could flatten the hill it is built on it would be fantastic !! (joke! )
